Kathryn King, Partner and Head of Corporate/Commercial
There aren’t many lawyers that can say they went from Trainee to Partner in just five years. BPE’s Kathryn King has beaten the odds and done just that. After completing her training with the firm, Kathryn specialised in company law and has since excelled in her career as a Corporate lawyer. She is valued by her clients who include private and public companies, charities, entrepreneurs, investors and management teams across a broad range of industry sectors throughout the UK and beyond.
As well as her regular duties, Kathryn now heads the newly merged Corporate and Commercial team at BPE. Always leading by example, Kathryn is a pragmatic, responsive and detail orientated individual who encourages her team to follow suit whilst supporting businesses through everything from starting up to shareholder exits. Kathryn demonstrates a fantastic work ethic and passion for business, which is evident in her progression from Senior Associate to Partner in just 6 months!
Kathryn was a key driver behind BPE’s recently launched Start Up Hub. Fuelled by a desire to support innovation and early-stage business – particularly in the cyber and medtech space, the Hub contains an array of free materials, resources and useful information that can be utilised by anyone looking to launch a new company.
Outside of the day job, Kathryn is an elected Council Member at The Law Society representing the legal profession and sits on various other committees. Always looking for ways to progress personally and professionally, Kathryn King is certainly one to watch.
