Veg Life was founded off the back of a pandemic redundancy, with the world in lockdown and a passion for sustainability, Rhian began providing plant-based meals with a twist. The signature product of a Scotch Egg, came about with the restriction where a substantial meal was required to purchase a pint of beer- enter the substantial scotch egg. It resembles its traditional counterpart in appearance, texture and taste yet is made entirely from plants! With 7g less fat, a fifth less calories but still the same amount of protein, as it’s meat and egg counterpart, it is not only better for the planet but also healthier for the consumer. With the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals at the core of the business, Veg Life offer incredible tasting products that also make a difference to our world. Starting up community fridges and working with local groups, Rhian has ensured that as her business grows in the retail sector, she does not loose the values she holds dearly within the community. Rhian uses her experience pre-pandemic working as an expedition leader, taking groups of young adults to Africa, Asia and South America participating in projects with a long-lasting sustainable impact, from wildlife conservation to building classrooms to ensure that a successful business can support projects like these through selling products.
