C2S LEADERSHIP MONTH WEEK 2 – SUSTAINABILITY
This week we look at #sustainability and kick off the week with a #bestpractice visit to Spirax Sarco UK and Ireland, a global lead in #Steamsolutions and #Steamservices. Employing over 1,500 in Gloucestershire and over 10,000 globally #sustainabilitymatters to them hugely.
We welcomed students from St Edwards school to join us today to network with other business leaders and learn more about engineering, manufacturing and future career opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE SHARING
Never underestimate the power of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and the ability to see what other organisations are doing!
A huge thank you to Ashaleigh Robinson, Greg Godfrey-Williams and the team at Spirax Sarco UK and Ireland for sharing your insights and learnings with us, knowledge sharing is a powerful tool for the business community and our guests today certainly learnt a lot and shared a lot of ideas.
Ashaleigh’s insights into packaging, sustainable options, cost savings were inspiring and we all need to get involved and do our bit! Take a moment to watch the Spirax Sarco One Planet video below, it’s very inspiring and sums up their commitment and passion about this subject.
The presentation was followed with an onsite tour and the opportunity to meet more of the Spirax Sarco team and ask many more questions.

INSPIRING NEXT GENERATION TALENT
Also, thanks to Elizabeth Lloyd and Matthew Burke from St Edward’s School for bringing along students to learn more about #engineering, #careeropportunities, #apprenticeships and inspiring the next generation. Students also had a tour and the opportunity to chat to other #manufacturing and #engineering organisations. Many questions were asked, and the students really enjoyed the engagement with businesspeople and the opportunity to learn and meet new people.
