About Carl:
I have worked for Worcester Bosch ever since joining after my degree with the exception of a three year period of working for Microgen, a British Gas company, from 2004 2007. I started my career here at Worcester in R&D and Product Development, and then moved to Customer Training, Product Management, International Product Management, After Sales and Sales Marketing before being appointed Managing Director of Worcester Bosch in 2011 But looking back on all my different roles, the importance of hands on practical experience, combined with academic study remains one of the most important elements of my experience and always will. I’m proud to be a member of the Local Enterprise Partnership and a Board Member of the Construction Product Association (CPA), the Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA) and the CBI Heat Commission.
Having studied Mechanical Engineering at University, Carl originally joined Worcester Bosch in 1984 as a Product Development Engineer. Having worked in Product Development for several years, he then moved in to more commercial orientated roles, first in Product Management and then Marketing Management.
Following national and international roles throughout the Sales, Marketing and Service organisation, Carl was appointed Managing Director in October 2011 and CEO in 2015 for the whole Bosch Thermotechnology operations in the UK and Ireland. This includes the residential business operating under Worcester Bosch and the Commercial Industrial business operating under the Bosch brand.
Carl is Chairman of the Construction Product Association (CPA) and a Board Member of the Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA).

About Victoria:
After graduating, I started my Bosch experience covering maternity leave in HR and I never left. At the age of 24, I gained my first managerial role and after five years as Marketing Manager, I paused my career path, going part-time to look after my children. Following several years of part-time working, I took an insightful and rewarding secondment in an Optimisation/Efficiency consultation role supporting 3 different departments. I’ve been doing my current role as Director of Marketing since 2017 and I love it – every day presents a new challenge and opportunity. In my spare time, I’m proud to be Chair of a children’s cancer charity, which allows me to see life from a very different perspective.
We launched our company purpose statement “Warming Lives, Protecting our Future” at the start of 2019 and as we went through the upheaval 2020 developed, it became even more important to us as a business to ensure our colleagues remained connected around the reason why we all do what we do. In our presentation, we’ll talk you through how we communicated our purpose and embedded it within the hearts and minds of our employees and importantly how we link our Purpose, to our Vision, our Strategy and ultimately to each individuals goals.
