Construction Solicitor Shortlisted for Future Leader Award

BPE Solicitors’ Construction and Engineering Team is celebrating Katie Pickering being shortlisted for the G4C Future Leader Award in the Constructing Excellence South West Awards.
Katie, who qualified as a Solicitor in 2020, has proved herself as an invaluable member of the firm, developing her skills and knowledge from Office Assistant to Paralegal and Chartered Legal Executive, to her current position as a Solicitor. Katie specialises in both contentious and non-contentious construction law advising a range of clients across various sectors with specialism in the healthcare and leisure sectors.
In more recent years, she has increased her presence in Gloucestershire’s construction sector, becoming a member of the Constructing Excellence South West G4C Committee in 2020 and becoming the Club Secretary for Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire Club in 2021. In these roles, Katie works with businesses and individuals across Gloucestershire and the South West to help encourage positive change in the region’s built environment.
Katie said: “I am delighted to have been shortlisted as a future leader. Having worked in the Construction and Engineering team at BPE, and been a member of the wider sector community within Gloucestershire for many years, I know the opportunities open to these businesses and the challenges they face. In my roles in Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire and G4C I hope to affect positive change and I’m looking forward to the awards ceremony in September and wish my fellow nominees good luck”.
Head of Construction and Engineering at BPE, Anna Wood said: “This is a much deserved shortlisting and I am delighted that Katie is being recognised for all of her hard work both as a mentor at BPE Solicitors but also for her work within our industry. I wish the other nominees congratulations and am excited to learn who the winners are in September”.
