A pivotal contributor to the success of L3Harris Technologies in Tewkesbury, Jackie is responsible for 45- to 50-strong teams that sit across the entire lifecycle of project delivery. She oversees everything from bids and programme delivery to their exceptional services offering.
Jackie’s career actually started in telecoms. After four years building critical infrastructure in Ireland, she sought a change of pace and applied to work for London’s Foreign Office, where she informed key policy and supported British Nationals living overseas.
Her passion for projects soon brought her to Tewkesbury. Drawn in by L3Harris’ exciting technologies and the industry’s geopolitical landscape, 14 years later Jackie is now Director of Bids, Programmes and Services. Part of the business’ senior leadership team, she plays an active role in shaping the future of the company.
Jackie has always had a tendency towards male-orientated industries, but to her gratitude has never felt discriminated against. The only barrier she’s encountered is the occasional need to try a bit harder to prove herself. That said, her experience at L3Harris has been an entirely positive one, having been accepted with open arms and supported by investment into her skills and aspirations.
Making a real difference to people’s lives is what truly drives Jackie. Some of her greatest achievements have involved helping people realise their full potential. “Sometimes it’s easy when you’re not the strongest voice in the room to be silent,” she said. “Be bold and unafraid to ask the silly question. Doing so may unravel a thread of thought that could lead to something incredible.”
