Global creative communications group, DRPG has been honoured with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development.
DRPG is one of 226 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise. Announced today (Thursday 21 April), DRPG has been recognised for its excellence in sustainable development.
Employing 410 people, DRPG was set up in 1980; it creates and delivers integrated communications solutions and experiences for an industry-wide range of clients and brands, for both external and internal audiences worldwide.
The group is well known for developing effective corporate brand experience solutions globally, and is the first in its field to achieve the Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development; it is one of 31 enterprises to be recognised in the environmental and social classification this year. This announcement follows the group signing the ‘Net Zero Carbon Events’ pledge at COP-26 in 2021, joining Ad Net Zero, plus declaring a personal business goal of being Net Zero by 2025.
CEO of DRPG, Dale Parmenter commented, “Winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development, means so much to everyone at DRPG. We have been on an incredible sustainability journey for over 15 years, and have collected many awards and accreditations for our approach; so being awarded with the Queen’s Award is the icing on the cake.
“To say we do it is one thing, to be officially recognised is something else. It’s the only award that takes a holistic view of sustainability across an organisation, and this is why it’s so important to us, as sustainability now sits as the umbrella under which everything is connected at DRPG”.
Now in its 56th year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queen’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
Applications for the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2023 open on Sunday 1 May 2022. For more information, visit https://www.gov.uk/queens-awards-for-enterprise.
