If you have a disability or health condition and it’s affecting you in your job or getting one, then Access to Work may be able to help you.
Access to Work is a discretionary grant-based award delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions that can pay for support for people with a disability or health condition, and disability related workplace needs – beyond those covered by an employer’s responsibility for reasonable adjustments. You don’t have to pay it back and it doesn’t affect any other benefits.

It can pay for things like:
- Mental Health Support Service
- Specialist Equipment
- Travel to and from work
- Support workers
To be eligible to apply employees must:
- Have a disability or health condition that affects your ability to do your job
- Be over 16
- Be in, or have an offer of, paid employment, including self-employment, or an apprenticeship
- Live in Great Britain
