Over the last 3 years C2S have supported the Public Hearts Campaign to get defibrillators available 24/7 for public access in the event of an emergency ♥
Cheltenham has gone from 1 x defibrillator being available for public access covering a population of circa 120,000 residents, growing to over 300,000 during festivals and events like the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Just two years’ later there are now 72 defibs available, of which C2S members like Spirax Sarco and Bob Holt OBE have donated a significant number of these!
In the last 12 months these defibs have been called on 146 times! Therefore, we know that all of the support and the great work of the Public Hearts Campaign is having a significant and positive impact in the community and saving lives
Public Hearts are now looking to go a step further and have launched for #HeartMonth a screening programme to help screen for undiagnosed cardiac issues whilst helping to support and educate our under-represented communities. The link below explains more about the programme and Public Hearts are looking for support and funding to enable more of the screening events to take place across Cheltenhamand untimatley in the wider region.
