Sarah Lee, Employment Lawyer
Cambridge is one of the most desirable universities in the UK, and we’re lucky to have a member of the Cambridge alumni within our midst at BPE! Sarah Lee, partner and Head of Employment at BPE, didn’t take the traditional method of getting a law degree; she was actually a French and German graduate who then completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Law and then the Legal Practice Course. Sarah trained at Eversheds Sutherland and accepted a post-qualification role in their Regulatory Litigation team, specialising in corporate criminal defence work. However, she returned to Employment law (her real passion) in 2005 and has stayed there ever since!
Sarah is passionate about all aspects of employment law and specialises in complex Tribunal and High Court claims and advisory work. She loves partnering with and supporting her clients, resolving their employment issues and enabling them to focus on running their businesses.
On top of her day-to-day role as an Employment lawyer, Sarah enjoys delivering training to clients and HR professionals, has guest lectured on the University of Gloucestershire’s CIPD course and is a regular member of Circle2Success’ HR focus, giving an insight into the ever-changing HR landscape from a legal perspective. The Employment team at BPE host the Employment Law Update seminar every autumn, in conjunction with the Gloucestershire CIPD, and Sarah delivered a fantastic presentation in 2023 on neurodiversity – we can’t wait to see what she will be talking about at this year’s seminar!
