Public Hearts Defibrillator Campaign CIC is immensely proud to install its 75TH defibrillator.
With 6 going in pre-Covid and an incredible 69 in the last couple of years, this not-for-profit community campaign has, according to the BBC, put Cheltenham on the map as the Defib Capital of the Southwest.
Having celebrated its 50th defibrillator only this time last year, Public Hearts continues its not-for-profit and completely voluntary community defibrillator campaign reaching this milestone at Cheltenham Motor Club (CMC) Upper Park Street Cheltenham GL52 6SA, which is accessible from both this street and through the alleyway to busy London Rd. The defibrillator cabinet has been custom-designed for this installation and features Public Hearts and CMC logos
Current C2S Community Awards winners, Public Hearts is a collaboration of individuals and businesses championing the power of good in our communities and that we can all do something to help someone when they need it most. Special thanks to Defib Key Partners Bob Holt OBE, Spirax Group, Evans Jones, Tidal, Circle2Success and the wider Defib Family for their support and collaboration.
Also on the horizon for Public Hearts this month is their funded Cardiac Screening program to offer ECG heart screening to 100 young people aged between 14 – 35 in recognition that 12 young people die from sudden cardiac death every week.
Public Hearts is committed to raising awareness. understanding and community infrastructure to support and increase the chances of survival in the event of a cardiac arrest.
