Timberpride, C2S Award Finalists, welcome Country Life
Last week was rather special. Timberpride had the pleasure of hosting Giles Kime and Lucy Khosla from #CountryLifeMagazine at their sawmill and showroom in Tetbury. Founders of Timberpride Ltd Alec Golesworthy and Victoria Golesworthy enjoyed sharing their love, knowledge and experience of British Oak.
“It was a delight sharing some of the history of British Oak, traditional skills and for the team to demonstrate their craftmanship with Giles and Lucy. Their readers are connoisseurs of quality and beauty and over the years our favourite clients have been those country home builders, architects and clients that want to create an oak frame that will last for generations.”
We began Timberpride nearly 30 years ago, and our love of our Oak woodlands doesn’t diminish. When used appropriately oak is an incredibly and sustainable building material.
A bit more about Timberpride:
At Timberpride we design and build oak frames using sustainably sourced British Oak, made by hand to create beautiful spaces, including houses, extensions, garages, stables, and exterior staircases.
We have been working with oak since 1995 and during that time we have honed our expertise and knowledge of oak which we apply to every building, no matter the type or size. From a simple roof truss to a whole house, we know how to make the best use of the timber to create beautiful living spaces that will last for generations to come.
Our in-house sawmill means we can use each saw-log for maximum efficiency and control the whole process sustainably. Milled from the round, each oak beam produced is at the saw ready for the carpenters to handcraft the frame with love, using time-honoured carpentry techniques that have lasted for centuries.
