Care provider Caremark has branched out into the Stroud area and taken a three-year lease on new premises at Bond’s Mill, Stonehouse, owned by Robert Hitchins Ltd.
The company provides flexible support in clients’ own homes with a dedicated team of carers, enabling them to remain independent for as long as possible.
Care Manager Emily Perrett said: “With existing operations in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Gloucester, we decided now is the time to branch out into Stroud.
“We chose to base ourselves at Bond’s Mill because of its ideal location next to J13 of the M5 and the way the history and character of the buildings reflect that of the community we will be serving.”
Bond’s Mill sits on the A419 near Stroud, alongside the Stroudwater Canal and River Frome in a mix of refurbished Victorian mill buildings and modern commercial premises.
Robert Hitchins’ Asset and Administration Manager at Bond’s Mill, Helen Hawke, said: “We are delighted to welcome Caremark to Bond’s Mill. Emily and Managing Director Michael Folkes join a number of other charities and community interest groups on site such as Home Start, Learning Together and Sunflowers Suicide Support.
“A lot of reciprocal business takes place and the landlord encourages this networking between tenants via a Tenant Directory plus the opportunity for tenants to meet each other in the estate café and at on-site social events.”
The agent was John Hawkins of Hawkins Watton, Stroud.
Bond’s Mill offers on-site management with 40 tenants in premises ranging from 100 to 15,000 sq ft and accommodates many start-ups as well as established companies such as UK Power Solutions, Staffline – Omega Resource and RSK Biocensus.
Robert Hitchins, based at Boddington in Gloucestershire, is one of the leading property developers and investors in the South West and South Wales. It provides the full development process from site acquisition and planning through to development and investment.
