It was great to catch-up with some of the team from Prosperity Care and hear about their first 2 years of business – set up in June 2022 by Colin Beard and Josh Isaac.
What a journey they have been on, in incredibly difficult times and it was great to see how they have thrived and grown!
Colin said ‘The global pandemic forced us all to evaluate what is important in life and this was the springboard for taking a leap into the unknown’. The pandemic created additional challenges to gain the registration they needed to start the business, so both Colin and Josh had to find jobs that were flexible enough so they could start to build their business but also that gave them an income. Colin went to work at a Funeral Directors and Josh joined the COVID Testing Centre. They are very positive about the news skills they got to learn!
They wanted to set up a business that made a difference and in March 2021, Prosperity Care gained the registration from the Care Quality Commission and off they went setting up a new way of doing things and talking to Local Authorities about contracts to provide personal care.
What a rollercoaster!
Their mission is to provide an outstanding services to people who need care and support to enable them to lead a prosperous and fulfilled life. The team live and breath their values:

They are currently supporting 14 people with varying physical disabilities; Learning Disabilities and Mental Health illnesses in a range of settings in Gloucestershire. The team have been growing and they are being contacted from further afield and they are taking on new offices in Gloucester to accommodate their growth.
The leadership team understand that positive workplace culture is created by attracting the right staff and providing them with good learning and development opportunities and career progression. It was great to see Prosperity Care as a finalist in the Gloucestershire Business Awards in the Best Place to Work Category 2022. And in 2021 they were the very proud winners of the Start-up Business of the Year.
We are delighted to have had Prosperity Care as a member of C2S right from when they started business and to work with them on their growth plans – supporting the team in their learning and development; raising the profile of the brand and promoting the vacancies and connecting them to the right people to support their growth.
