Summer can be an overwhelming time for many of the families we work with across Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, with school holidays adding to existing financial pressures and increased feelings of stress and anxiety.
Many of the parents we support find it difficult to provide children with fun and engaging activities without breaking the bank, which led us to the idea of the Summer Survival Box. We aim to create 50 boxes to support families across the two counties, with activities including arts and crafts, puzzles, books, baking kits and sports equipment. We hope that this will allow families to enjoy some relaxed quality time together, whilst bringing a sense of fun into the family home
“I absolutely dread the summer holidays, it’s such a long period of time with no structure and it costs so much to keep the kids occupied” CCP Family.
We are interested in speaking to companies that either want to support this new project either by financial donations or pledging to support the project by collecting items such as arts and crafts, puzzles, books, baking kits and sports equipment for children ages between 4 years and 11 years old.
