Hooray is a National recruitment agency that recruits for office professionals around the whole of the UK and whose mission is to deliver a range of bespoke, expert recruitment solutions to clients and candidates whilst always being committed to sound ethical principles.
Gloucestershire’s leading Ethical Recruitment agency Hooray, an independent and award-winning agency with offices in Cheltenham and Milton Keynes, proudly announces its collaboration with local charities, ‘Read for Good’ and ‘The Nelson Trust.’
The decision reflects Hooray’s commitment to making a positive impact on the community through their ethical approach. Hooray Recruitment will actively support these organisations by participating in fundraising activities, raising awareness, and engaging in volunteering initiatives to help support their chosen Charities overall mission and goals.
The decision is rooted in Hooray’s belief in pioneering ethical recruitment for a better working world. By aligning with charities that share principles and values, Hooray aims to contribute to the future workforce’s access to education and support individuals seeking to reintegrate into the world of work.
Richard Arthur, Hooray’s Managing Director expressed his delight about the charity partnerships:
“I am delighted that the team at Hooray Recruitment have chosen The Nelson Trust and Read for Good as our charity partners. As an ethical recruitment business, we want to ensure we are always practicing good business, and adding significant value to the local community through our fundraising efforts and the 92 (4 per employee) paid volunteer days we offer our staff.
Understanding what the charities do, knowing how our skills can enhance their services, and making sure our values are aligned is really important to us as a business.
We support many charities, however, as our official charity partners, I am very excited to see how we can support both The Nelson Trust and Read for Good in 2024 and beyond”.
Ian Moriarty, Hooray’s Operations Director, commented on the internal process, stating:
“The process was a really collaborative one where the Hooray team voted on which charities they wanted to support in 2024. Choosing from a shortlist of some of the most dynamic and inspirational charities in the region, it went to a vote, and we are thrilled to be supporting both ‘The Nelson Trust’ and ‘Read For Good’ throughout 2024 (and beyond).”
John Trolan Chief Executive Officer of The Nelson Trust said:
“I am delighted that the team at Hooray have chosen to support Nelson Trust to bring belief, hope and long-term recovery to lives affected by addiction and multiple disadvantages. We share the same values of being passionate about making a positive impact on people and nurturing relationships based on honesty and transparency and have already seen the team in action sharing their skills and experience to assist our beneficiaries with their employability skills.”
Barbara Williams, representative for Read for Good said:
“Children who choose to read in their free time are more likely to do well at school, grow up to have jobs they love, be happier and have more fulfilled lives. Read for Good aims to inspire a life-changing love of reading towards a more equal society.
Partnering with Hooray will help us to share this love of reading with even more children. We are looking forward to working together to bring the magic of books and stories to children in schools and hospitals in Gloucestershire and across the UK.”
This announcement comes as Hooray Recruitment continues to expand its positive impact within the community. By partnering with ‘Read for Good’ and ‘The Nelson Trust,’ Hooray seeks to amplify the incredible work these charities do and further promote the importance of supporting the future workforce through ethical practices.
