About the Day

Students from schools, colleagues and universities from across the county are invited to join us for the second time for the biggest educational outreach live event in the region.

In 2024 we brought together over 1,800 students from Year 9 upwards to meet businesses and higher education organisations. A huge success and the feed back was amazing.

If you are a business and would like to be part of the largest education event in the region then please get in touch and book your stand onto this FREE one-day event! Connect with nearly 2000 students for an inspiring, educational, informative day!

This one-day event will provide the opportunity for students to chat to as many businesses as they can, from all sectors and size, attend Financial Wellbeing Workshops, Mental Health & Wellbeing Workshops, learn how to prepare for the workplace, get career information and support, access useful FREE podcasts to support the transition from education to workplace, Speed Network and learn how to save a life with our first aid training on cardiac arrest, defibrillators- life skills that will benefit every student!

Why Should Students Attend?

Students can join us to stretch their minds, develop their personal skills and build valuable connections. They can learn about future career opportunities and experience a day getting to know some of the best, most exciting organisations in the region!

A must for any student that wants to progress in life, find a great career path and learn more about how to access future job opportunities and reach their full potential!

If you are a parent and would like to bring your student please pre- register so we are aware of your arrival time on the day. Parents and students can come along from 3pm onwards and register on the day.

The event closes at 5pm. The business stands and First Aid Training are open till 5pm but all the students workshops will be finished by 3pm.

Parking, registration and entry are free for students, parents, schools, colleges and universities.

There is a cafe open till 5pm that serves hot and cold drinks and refreshments and is a cashless facility so credit cards only.

Workshops and Activities

A jam-packed day with many workshops and activities for students to get involved in, from financial wellbeing and mental health wellbeing workshops, CV and Career information, to First Aid Training and Speed Networking.

First Aid Training for Students & Businesses

Clare Seed and the Public Hearts Debif Family will be back for 2025 delivering an engaging experience for students and businesspeople where they can learn life skills and how to save a life and use a defibrillators.

About Us: Raising awareness and numbers of lifesaving defibrillators in and around Cheltenham; Sharing vital skills and knowledge to give the confidence to act in a medical emergency.

Visit our stand and join us for a wealth of life saving and inspiring information, knowledge and vital opportunities to learn some of the most important skills in life.

• What to do in a medical emergency
• Understand some the most common medical emergencies including choking and learn how to perform life-saving procedures with our ActFast choke vests
• Learn the basics and get hands-on with practical CPR practical skills with training manikins and defibs
• Meet some of the Public Hearts Defib Campaign team and Ambassadors,
• Meet some of our clinical professionals and find out what’s it’s to be a Paramedic
• Discover where your 10 nearest defibs are with interactive tools.
• Explore how volunteering builds skills, confidence and enhancing your personal and qualities
• Educators and Employers. Explore how these skills form part of your student and team capabilities and share best practice in and out of the classroom/ workplace.

First Aid is a skill that stays with you for life and could save someone else’s – let’s be the positive change to inform, educate and inspire others.

Further Education Zone

Colleges and Universities on hand in the education zone to talk to students about their options for T-Levels, apprenticeships, College, University and all further education options.

There has never been a better opportunity to meet organisations from all sectors and size under one roof!

Businesses from every sector and size of organisation will join us. A chance for students to explore what’s on offer locally, connect with future employers, apprenticeship opportunities, T-Levels, work experience, and get careers advice. Explore the many job roles within an organisation, learn more about what employers are looking for and how you can get your dream job in the future!

Volunteering Partner

We are delighted to announce a collaboration with Caring for Communities and People (CCP). They will be providing our volunteers for this event. With many years of experience working with young people, disadvantaged individuals, and the business community, they are the perfect partner.

The team at CCP are DBS checked and experts at supporting young people and their needs and will be on hand at the event to help and assist anyone who needs it. They will man the support desk and make themselves available to help students and businesses.

We have many businesses and educational organisation confirmed already for 2025 even though we are only in the early stages of bookings. There is huge excitement around this event as there is nothing like it in the region.

We are asking for the support of businesses to help us showcase the exciting opportunities to our young people, and inspire them into the career opportunities we have in the South West.
