About the event
THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL FOR BUSINESSES AND ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS, STUDENTS WITH PARENTS, SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES AND EXHIBITORS.
THIS IS NOT AN OPEN NETWORKING EVENT FOR BUSINESSPEOPLE TO ATTEND, ONLY EXHIBITORS AND THEIR PEOPLE ON THE STANDS REGISTERED TO ATTEND.
If you are a parent or student and would like to attend the afternoon session, please come along from 3pm onwards and register on the day. The event closes at 6pm. The business stands and First Aid Training are open till 6pm but all the students workshops are now fully booked.
Parking, registration and entry are free for students, parents, schools, colleges and universitites.
There is a cafe open till 6pm that serves hot and cold drinks and refreshments and is a cashless facility so credit cards only.

We are now full for large numbers of students with schools as we have 1,800 students booked but would be delighted to see students and parents from 3.o0pm onwards.

Students from schools, colleagues and universities from across the county are invited to join us for the biggest educational outreach live event.
Bringing together 1,800 students from Year 9 upwards to meet businesses and higher education organisations, all under one roof!

This one-day event will provide the opportunity for students to chat to as many businesses as they can, from all sectors and size, attend Financial Wellbeing Workshops, Mental Health & Wellbeing Workshops, learn how to prepare for the workplace, get career information and support, access useful FREE podcasts to support the transition from education to workplace, Speed Network and learn how to save a life with our first aid training on cardiac arrest, defibrillators- life skills that will benefit every student!

CyNam delivering EmPowerCyber 2024 Educating on Cyber Skills and Career Pathways in the Cyber Sector
EmPowerCyber, CyberFirst South West’s* annual event designed to help bridge the cyber skills gap and foster diversity in the digital workforce, is returning for 2024. This event continues to inspire the region’s students to seriously consider cybersecurity and emerging tech as career pathways. Building on the huge success of EmPowerCyber over the last few years, they are developing the format to increase the impact and expand the reach, offering an even more enriching experience for students and industry partners.
“We are thrilled to announce a strategic collaboration with Circle2Success and the ‘C2S Educational Outreach Live’ event on November 27th at the Racecourse in Cheltenham,” says Hollie Wakefield, General Manager at CyNam. “This partnership allows us to expand EmPowerCyber’s reach, act on feedback and enhance the offering for students and industry partners in attendance.”
Key Changes for EmPower2024:
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: EmPowerCyber2024 is open to everyone, sending a message that cybersecurity is a career path for anyone who is interested, helping to enable a stronger and more representative workforce and market in the future.
- Accessibility: This year, we are excited to offer a quiet zone session for those who prefer a calmer environment.
- Skill Development Workshops: Interactive workshops on topics like CV writing and mental wellbeing will equip students with valuable life skills.
- Focus on Year 9 Students: By shifting the target audience from year 8 to year 9, EmPowerCyber better aligns with the timeframe when students begin choosing their GCSE options and potential career paths
- Broader Industry Exposure: Students will gain insights from a wider variety of potential employers
- Enhanced Manageability: EmPowerCyber2024 will feature four groups of 200 students each, allowing for a more focused learning environment and efficient use of industry partner time.

Preparing Yourself for the Workplace – What You Need to Know

Speed Networking Session for Students
Students will have the opportunity to join in on speed networking sessions with employers. A chance to ask questions and learn more about career paths, different industries, what to expect in the workplace, how to get the right job, what employers are looking for today and much more……..
These open sessions are a chance for students to ask questions openly and freely, explore ideas and get to talk to people from industry in a relaxed, informal fashion.
Sessions will run for 1 hour in total. 10 minutes on each table and then we will ask you to move to another table to talk to a different business. Total of 5 moves and the opportunity to talk to 5 different businesses – great fun!

About Us: Raising awareness and numbers of lifesaving defibrillators in and around Cheltenham; Sharing vital skills and knowledge to give the confidence to act in a medical emergency.
Visit our stand and join us for a wealth of life saving and inspiring information, knowledge and vital opportunities to learn some of the most important skills in life.
- What to do in a medical emergency
- Understand some the most common medical emergencies including choking and learn how to perform life-saving procedures with our ActFast choke vests
- Learn the basics and get hands-on with practical CPR practical skills with training manikins and defibs

Volunteering Partner
We are delighted to announce a collaboration with Caring for Communities and People (CCP). They will be providing our volunteers for this event. With many years of experience working with young people, disadvantaged individuals, and the business community, they are the perfect partner.
The team at CCP are DBS checked and experts at supporting young people and their needs and will be on hand at the event to help and assist anyone who needs it. They will man the support desk and make themselves available to help students and businesses.
