A leading regional player in the heating and renewables sector has revealed new faces and roles at its top table amid a management buyout as the business eyes future growth.
Buoyed by a latest turnover of £21m and the desire to continue the legacy of a family business that was established more than 40 years ago, Simon Hewer becomes the new CEO of Hewer as the company, based at The Aquarius Centre in Waterwells, strengthens its leadership.
Alongside the latest 14% growth, the company has also expanded its workforce over the last five years and turnover has risen by 82% in this period.
One of Gloucester’s oldest and most prominent firms – now employing more than 143 people after a recent rise from a staff of 100 – the Quedgeley-based business also sees Ian Haughton promoted to Managing Director, while in further changes, Ian Leitch and Stuart Hesk become co-owners, alongside existing directors.
