Tim Watkins, Managing Partner at Randall & Payne, headline sponsor of the Gloucestershire Live Business Awards 2021 for a ninth consecutive year tells us why they are proud to continue as headline sponsor.
It gives us great pleasure to be involved once more with the Gloucestershire Live Business Awards which have returned after such a challenging year. Their heritage goes back over two decades and every business and individual who has won, or been shortlisted, over the years should be very proud of such an accolade. As a business community we need more than ever to get together and acknowledge our achievements and share our stories of resilience during such unprecedented times.
Personally I am looking forward to reading and judging the entries which, if previous years are anything to go by, will demonstrate yet again the diversity that the Gloucestershire business scene has to offer together with its ability to adapt in times of crisis. We are fortunate to have much to celebrate in our county and with so many great businesses and great people and the awards give them their chance to shine!
I urge people to enter so we can celebrate the efforts businesses and individuals have made during this challenging year. Putting an entry together will help to reflect on what has been changed, what has been achieved and what we should be proud of, which then acts as a driver for moving on to the next change or next achievement. Just being shortlisted is great for morale and engagement, and a win brings with it recognition and both gives you the opportunity to showcase who you are and what you do.
Although we weren’t able to mark the launch by the usual gathering, we do enjoy meeting entrants and fellow sponsors and would like to host the finalists’ reception once more in the grounds at Chargrove House towards the end of this summer if guidelines allow.
I am pleased to have the awards charity partner, Scoo-B-Doo, involved from the very beginning for the first time in the awards history and I’m sure that with the support of the business community we can raise more funds to help give sick and premature babies in our county the very best start in life. 100% of every donation helps to provide equipment and essential items for the neonatal unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
