We’re bringing back the much-loved Walk of Hope, but this time in Gloucestershire! We’ll be taking to the streets of Gloucester for another enlivened evening adventure, with help from our newly appointed ambassador, Gloucester Rugby’s Mark Atkinson. He’s swapping rugby boots for walking shoes and we’re hoping that you’ll join us, putting your best foot forward for mobile cancer care.
Sign up today get your own complimentary neon Walk of Hope t-shirt and handy drawstring bag.
Children (under 12s) are welcome to sign up as well, and for just £15 per registration, they’ll get a bag and t-shirt too!
Please note: t-shirts are based on adult sizing, so we would recommend a size ‘small’ for children.
Participants can choose to walk the 10km route at whatever pace they feel comfortable. Of course, well behaved dogs are welcome on the walk too. Keep them safe and seen with one of our high-visibility dog bandanas available to buy here.
As a nod to our newest ambassador, the walk will begin and end at The Heritage Bar on Kingsholm Road, giving you you a great opportunity to gather and purchase refreshments, pre and post walk. There’s a mid-way stop courtesy of our friends at Gloucester Brewery too, so you can enjoy a mid-way pit-stop drink there before carrying on with your Walk of Hope.
Join us on 26 April from 6pm onwards for registrations and we’ll be ready to walk at 7pm.
Why not grab your friends, family or colleagues too and join the walk together.
Additional fundraising or sponsorship is completely optional for this event, there is no minimum amount required. If you would like to raise a bit of money and help support Hope for Tomorrow even more, we would suggest a £50 fundraising target.
You can set up your own JustGiving page or download the sponsorship form from your confirmation email once registered. If you would like a paper copy of the sponsorship form, just let us know and we’ll post one out to you.
We would love to see images of you on your Walk of Hope, donning your bright and colourful t-shirts. Please share your photos from the night with us. You can tag us on social media and use #WalkOfHope.
