Willow Hill, a hilltop farm between Tewkesbury and Gloucester, opens this weekend to provide a sustainable and experiential private dining and events venue. It also offers boutique camping and luxury glamping and a range of experiences for families and local businesses. It features private dining rooms, a bar, outdoor kitchen, farm shop, heated outdoor pool and spa and plenty of recreational, events and dining spaces overlooking The Cotswolds.
The project was developed by owner, Matthew Rymer, with help from Stacey Cole, the former GM of Necker Island and Events Manager for Raymond Blanc, and the team behind Happerley, that champions food provenance. The hand picked service crew is led by Vibe & Events Manager, Tom Goodall, who through travelling the world as a model and dancer (lead dancer for Take That!, Mama Mia the film etc.) carries a strong appreciation of great hospitality.
The project is designed to exude an informal and exclusive vibe, where every guest is a friend. It is also geared to becoming a foodie destination as it embarks on its journey to become fully self sufficient in three years, and as host of The Happerley Club – a series of dinings and tastings for those involved in the food and drink industry, to showcase the best of ingredients.
Chef and owner of Mexico’s acclaimed El Refugio Mezcaleria restaurant and co-author of The Native Mexican Kitchen, Noel Morales, is Guest chef in residence throughout the summer, promising to put a special twist on the best of ingredients sourced directly from named boats or farms.
