Despite the pandemic and afternoon downpour, ISO Quality Services annual charity golf day was a huge success, raising more than previous years.
The ISO providers in Worcester made Midlands Air Ambulance their chosen charity after the ambulance crew assisted the family in a moment of need. Managing Director, Jennifer Appleton comments: “This Charity is crucial in an emergency because they can reach 90% of the region within eight minutes and in those situations, the minutes really count. They receive no Government funding, relying purely on donations and as it costs the Charity over £10 million a year to operate, events like these are crucial in supporting the Charity. This is of even greater importance now, with many charities feeling the pressure from the pandemic after fundraising events were cancelled and shops were closed”.
The day raised an impressive £1,200, with an additional £300 donated by ISO Quality Services to bring the final total to £1,500. Chairman, Peter Appleton adds: “This amount has exceeded the previous years, so we’re really grateful to all the golfers and raffle prize donors for taking part. Without them, the day wouldn’t have been such a great success so thank you.”
