A specialist traffic consultancy firm which has been operating for almost three decades has been acquired by its senior management team.
Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team is delighted to have advised the shareholders of ADL Traffic & Highways Engineering Limited on the sale of the business to Catherine Chapman and Tom Hayward.
ADL was formed in 1996 by Allan Mendelsohn and Lorna Randall Jones. Based in Yate, near Bristol, it provides expert technical advice, support, and traffic and transport solutions to both public and private sector organisations.
The business has undertaken traffic and transportation feasibility studies for all kinds of projects from single dwellings to major retail, sports, and commercial developments. Its experts create detailed highway and drainage design solutions and provide advice and support from the initial concept stage through to completion. Notable clients include Kier Property Developments Ltd, McDonald’s restaurants, and Principal Hayley Hotels.
Exiting shareholder Allan Mendelsohn, said: “I wish Tom and Catherine all the very best in continuing to build the business. They have both been integral to the success of ADL and have lots of experience and expertise which, with the support of the rest of the ADL team, I am sure they will continue to utilise.”
Director Catherine Chapman, said the management buyout, “secures stability and continuity for ADL, ensuring we can continue to be successful well into the future.
She added: “We would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to Allan and Lorna for all their service, wisdom and assistance.”
