Cathy joined Orchard Trust in 2014 as Finance Manager and was promoted to CEO in 2017. Orchard Trust supports people with disabilities in the Forest of Dean. Cathy is passionate about supporting people to reach their full potential. She is delighted to lead a charity which shares these ambitions.
The Covid pandemic has been a difficult time in Health & Social Care, but Cathy’s dedication and excellent leadership have ensured the Trust continues to provide high quality care. Cathy has gone over and above to support everyone; sourcing PPE; supporting families to safely visit their loved ones; providing technology to enable clients to communicate virtually with their families; supporting staff through covid isolation and providing extra resources for mental health support. Cathy has the support of a wonderful board of trustees, chaired by another inspirational woman, Sue Henchley.
Cathy is also Governor at Heart of the Forest Community Special School supporting Head Teacher, Stephanie, and team to provide inspiring education.
