Dr Suk Kinch, Principal Design and Development Engineer at Renishaw was selected as one of the Top 50 Women in Engineering in 2021, an awards programme organised by the Women’s Engineering Society. Suk has worked in Renishaw’s Neurological Products Division for the last 12 years, collaborating on projects which help automate brain surgery, reducing the number of highly skilled neurosurgeons that are needed in the operating room while maintaining accuracy during operations. Another revolutionary product she is working on is a drug delivery system that delivers therapeutics directly into the brain which featured in a BBC documentary about a trial to treat Parkinson’s Disease patients.
Suk is a chartered member of the IMechE, a mentor to engineers at all stages of their careers, and part of Renishaw’s diversity and inclusion champions group. She is also a STEM ambassador, promoting engineering careers to young people.
