Inspiring Paramedics across the Country
Great Western Air Ambulance Charity’s (GWAAC) Advanced Practitioner in Critical Care, Vicki Brown has spent her career striving to deliver the best possible care in a pre-hospital environment. And now she’s become the first person in the country to be entered on the Faculty of Pre Hospital Care Register of Consultant (Level 8) Practitioners by qualifying from a purely paramedic background.
Vicki says, “I hope this shows that paramedics can achieve this level of practice. I intend to continue pushing the boundaries of paramedic practice and hope there is more success to come.”
Vicki’s ground-breaking achievement of not only being the first to qualify, but also being the only female paramedic on the register, means she is an inspiration to other paramedics across the country. Vicki also continues to be an inspiration to all of us at GWAAC.
