Leaders Boardroom – Swindon & Wilts with Excalibur & Good Energy
Our Leader Group met at the Head Office of Swindon based business Excalibur. We were luck to be there on the day that all of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work Companies nationally were celebrating their inclusion in the list. The theme this year was Tribes. The teams at Excalibur had decorated the office and were dressed up. In a goody bag event to the group we also found Indian Headdresses which people were quite happy to wear!
It was a great atmosphere in the building and clearly people were enjoying the day. Peter Boucher, MD of Excalibur welcomed everyone and gave an insight into their approach to Employee Engagement and explained how they approached it. Peter explained that in a crowded market place with a lot of competition you have to differentiate yourself and the only way to do that is with your people and the service the give. And you will find at Excalibur they definitely walk the talk right from the top. Excalibur are also looking at C Corp status as they have already scored quite highly on the indicators.

We also heard from Helen Franks on how Good Energy work with staff and how that flows through to customers and that also in a sector where energy is a commodity you need to differentiate yourself with a passion ans reason to get people to swap.
