“Our Charity has been through some of the most challenging times in its history and now in our 75th year we have come through this pandemic in very good shape.
At Lilian Faithfull we care for more older people who have little or no means to support themselves than any other provider, supporting those people who have given so much to society to the tune of £1.6million. But you may ask, why we should support older people? “Too often our older generation are side-lined or considered no longer of use to modern life, but what we so easily forget is that this generation formed our modern life and ways. They now deserve our support and respect.
During the pandemic we were spending £1,000 a day on PPE to keep people safe and we’ve come through this with fewer infections (around a fifth) compared to many others. We would be so grateful for your support today and absolutely guarantee that any funds raised will go towards caring for our residents.”
