Our Secret Garden day care guests had a lovely delivery of hand crafted Easter decorations from Julia on behalf of Cheltenham College Queen’s House students this week. The students also have some fantastic plans to raise money for our hub over their Easter break. 56 girls are doing a challenge to cover 1946km in total, with the hope to raise £1946 in sponsorship too. 1946 being the date our charity was established 75 years ago.
The group are very passionate about supporting the Secret Garden day hub which cares for people living with dementia in Cheltenham. The group commented, “In raising this money, we would also like to honour the grandparents of Queen’s girls and staff, some of which have lived with dementia.”
A big thank you to the Queen’s College students and staff! We are very grateful to have their support for the second year running. Our day guests thoroughly enjoyed the students regular visits before Covid-19. We look forward to future visits when it’s permitted.
Our day guest created this beautiful thank you card (pictured) for the students so show their appreciation.
