We’d like to thank a lovely couple who got married last year and whose guests donated money to our charity in lieu of gifts.
Pictured is Rachel’s remarkable Nan, Evelyn, who happily lived at Royal Court care home for 18 months. Rachel, the bride commented,
“We’d like to donate towards the on-going care and support of those who are fortunate enough to be looked after by Lilian Faithfull Care.”
Thank you for remembering our care home on your special day. That’s such a wonderful thing to do and we really appreciate your support. We were very privileged to care for Evelyn.
As a charity we are in care for the right reasons, not for profit and 97p in every £1 spent is put towards the day to day care of our residents and day guests, and all that entails.
We financially support around 77 residents and subsidise their fees to the amount of £1.87 million a year.
Through this subsidy and our ‘home for life’ pledge, we will never ask a resident to leave our care homes for financial reasons.
