This apprenticeship role is within the Marketing Cheltenham team at the council. The team are responsible for promoting Cheltenham to visitors and residents, supporting businesses, and managing events. It’s a brilliant job because we know that everything we do helps to make Cheltenham a thriving, lively place to live, work, and visit.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a sales apprentice to work with our commercial partnerships manager, Tara. While working with us, you’ll study for a level 4 sales apprenticeship in a supportive, friendly and welcoming environment.
In this role, you’ll be supported to develop your skills in sales from start to finish. This means you’ll not only develop those necessary sales admin skills, but you’ll also get lots of opportunities to get out and about, meeting the local business community at networking events and attending partnership meetings.

An apprenticeship generally lasts between one and four years dependent on the level of qualification, but some may take longer.

Property Apprentice
About the property apprenticeship:
Our vacancy for a property apprentice (facilities manager/trainee building surveyor) means you will be providing support across a wide variety of buildings within the council's property stock, including being part of planning, procurement and delivery of high quality reactive and planned maintenance projects as well as supporting with compliance tasks and admin support where needed.
You will contribute to effective and efficient asset management strategies through undertaking property surveys and assisting in development and delivery of programmes of work.
With support, you will be dealing with contractors, service managers, stakeholders and tenants on a daily basis, assisting the property team in all aspects of service delivery.
If you are an excellent communicator, have a willingness to learn and a ‘can do’ attitude as well as a passion for property you will be a perfect fit!

Building Control Apprentice
About the building control apprenticeship:
As a building control apprentice at Cheltenham Borough Council (CBC) you'll be joining the building control team to help us support our local community, while learning about the technical aspects of the role.
During your time with us you'll be taking part in site inspections, assisting surveyors and working with a great team, as well as studying towards a prestigious level 6 apprenticeship in building control.

Revenues and benefits apprentice vacancy
About the revenues and benefits apprenticeship:
As a revenues and benefits apprentice at Cheltenham Borough Council (CBC) you'll have a wide a range of duties to support the revenues and benefits team. You’ll be involved with the billing and collection of council tax and business rates, and the administration of housing benefit and council tax support.
This is a varied and interesting role where you’ll learn on the job alongside your college studies.
With the support of the wider team you’ll hone your people skills, communicating with customers directly by letter, telephone and face to face. You’ll also liaise with other council services, partner and external organisations to exchange information and resolve queries, as well as the chance to get involved with projects such as the implementation of service improvements and new technology.
