Operating from our head office in Royal Mews, Cheltenham. Tidal Training Ltd provides the highest quality of mental health, medical and clinical, health and social care and learning disability training and education to our clients nationwide.

The company was founded in 2012 by Colin Frensham (Director) and now teaches over 16,000 learners a year through our national team of mental health nurses, psychologists, learning disability nurses, RGNs, health and social care professionals and our paramedics. All of whom hold a minimum Level 3 teaching qualification and have years of specific knowledge and experience in their professional field. Tidal is regarded as the UK leader in specialist mental health training, writing and bringing new content and courses to the market to support NHS Foundation Trusts,  local authorities, councils, private MH providers, drug and alcohol rehab units, care homes and over 800 clients.

Tidal are members of the Disability Confident scheme, the Armed Forces Covenant, the UK
Register of Learning Providers and are an approved accredited centre with Awarding Body
Qualsafe Awards for our suite of First Aid training courses through our sister company, Tidal
Training Direct Ltd.

Colin the Founder Director has over 19 years management and training experience in the healthcare sector and had previously worked at management level for national and multi-national organisations.

Colin has nearly 30 years medical knowledge behind him which all started in 1986 when Colin served in Her Majesty’s Forces for 13 years as a combat medical technician in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He has also worked in the offshore industry as a remote site and offshore medic as well as supporting the Birmingham Children’s Retrieval Service as a medic.

Colin was presented with a Staffordshire Ambulance Service commendation in 2002 for stopping and assisting at the scene of a fatal accident having saved the life of the critically injured driver before emergency services could attend the scene.
