The Role:

Responsible for overseeing and guiding the development team to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with the company’s goals.
Combination of technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that coding standards, architecture, and technical strategies are effectively implemented.
Fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment, setting and monitoring performance goals, and aligning technical capabilities with business objectives.
This role is pivotal in bridging strategic goals with technical execution, enabling the team to consistently deliver innovative and reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Take ownership of end-to-end on-time feature level deliveries against pre-agreed deadlines and estimates, from initial design and development through deployment and ongoing support.
Manage the risks to delivery timelines and technical feasibility, ensuring smooth project execution.
Provide technical insights to prioritize and balance feature requests, bug fixes, and technical debt within delivery schedules.
Ensure that the correct developer tooling, such as continuous delivery pipelines and testing frameworks, are in place to support rapid, reliable deployment cycles.
Be a high performing member of the management of the Company.
Shape how the performance of the team can contribute to ensure the delivery of the business’ goals and objectives.
Build, develop, lead and manage the team and its functions/offerings to ensure we maintain resilience in achieving deliveries which are consistently delivered within defined budgets, to the correct quality and in a timely manner.
Lead and drive the performance of the team, setting appropriate performance goals and objectives, undertaking performance appraisals and continuous performance reviews, identifying opportunities for team members to develop their skills and talent.

What We Are Looking For:

Proven experience in leading the development and delivery of production applications using Java and the Spring Framework.
Strong expertise in full-stack development, including frontend development (ideally React using Typescript), system architecture and performance optimization.
Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, with experience using testing frameworks such as JUnit and familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred but not essential)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Proven experience in managing and developing technical teams, including setting performance goals and conducting regular appraisals.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach team members, fostering individual career growth and technical skill development.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Experience in Agile development methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and team retrospectives.

The Role:

Responsible for defining, developing, testing, and modifying software products to support the company’s research and development activities and commercial deliveries.
Encompasses a broad range of technical responsibilities, including full-stack architecture, design, and system-wide assessments, alongside the creation of high-level technical documentation.
Collaborates with the Software Engineering Lead to scope projects, allocate resources, and ensure feasibility.
Effectively drive product delivery and enabling the team to achieve technical and strategic objectives through the definition and execution of the technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Lead the evaluation and selection of full stack technologies, libraries, and tools to ensure optimal system performance and maintainability.
Work with the Product Owner, Products and Systems Team and Product Engineering Manger in order to understand the direction of travel with regard the Product Vision in order to influence the technical design appropriately.
Lead and author the creation of high level technical documentation covering software design and architecture.
Ensure that the correct developer tooling, such as continuous delivery pipelines and testing frameworks, are in place to support rapid, reliable deployment cycles.
Partner with the Software Engineering Lead provide insights into technical feasibility, resource allocation, and project scoping.
Act as a technical authority within the team, setting and enforcing coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
Mentor and guide team members in applying modern development techniques, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, providing strategic recommendations for adoption to meet current and future business needs.
Define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business goals and ensuring long-term scalability, reliability, and innovation.
Communicate the technical strategy and roadmap effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and securing necessary resources.

What We Are Looking For:

Proven experience in developing and contributing to production applications using Java and the Spring Framework.
Strong understanding of backend system design, including infrastructure, APIs, and data storage.
Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading production React applications.
Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, with experience using testing frameworks such as JUnit and familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred but not mandatory).
Familiarity with modern data pipeline architectures and ETL processes is desirable but not required.
Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly, applying expertise across multiple domains.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile environments, including participation in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, either wanting to progress to a HR leadership role, or who has previous experience at this level, with a passion for driving our people strategy.

The day to day will be varied but will have a focus on all aspects of the people strategy, collaborating closely with Viper’s board of directors, managers and supported by the HR team adopting HR best practice in the UK and other relevant countries.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Lead HR strategies to ensure they support business growth, efficiency and employee satisfaction
Leadership of the HR department and driving the performance to support the company’s business growth
Lead the development of the companies’ organisational culture and ensure alignment with the Group’s values and behaviours
Forecast and plan workforce requirements, working in conjunction with the Board and managers, to meet future business needs at Viper, whether in the UK or other countries/jurisdictions
Foster relationships with external suppliers, including recruitment firms, training providers, and benefits suppliers
Providing insights to the Board and managers on HR matters and issues that impact, or may impact, the business

What We Are Looking For:

A highly motivated individual with/who:
Previous experience in a senior HR role in a fast-paced organisation
Able to proactively drive, lead and execute a people plan and experience in business partnering and a proven ability to empower and develop others
Degree educated and CIPD qualified at level 7
Understands and can take account of the commercial considerations and financial implications of their decision making
Proven problem solving and strategic skills at a senior level
Experience as a leader and role model
Desirable, but not essential
Background in the engineering and oil & gas industry
Previous experience in HR in the global market

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Take a lead role in fault diagnosis on electrical and communication associated with subsea control systems.
• Generate concise, accurate documentation with an appropriate level of information (for pre and post installation and testing activities).
• Interpret condition monitoring data from client installations and produce summary status reports for clients with recommendations where necessary.

• Experience of working in a client-facing technical role within the Oil and Gas industry.
• Understanding of subsea production control systems and configurations and detailed knowledge of electrical and electronic components.
