ORNA Inc. completed a $1.1M seed investment round for Cyber Security Incident Management SOAR platform

Exciting news as one of our members has just completed a $1.1M seed investment round. ORNA Inc. who have developed a Cyber Security Incident Management SOAR platform to support organisations of various sizes manage cyber incidents with bespoke playbooks as well as enabling organisations to understand their cyber security maturity through the additional Cyber Risk 365 module. The ORNA Inc. team have continued to develop the platform, listening to customer feedback, launching this month ORNA MSP with multi-tenancy capability to allow IT MSPs the ability to manage the cyber response and recovery of their customers.

In the recent Gartner report it was outlined that the three must-haves for incident response readiness were an incident response plan, detailed response playbooks and tabletop exercises. All of which are available through the ORNA platform as standard.

A recent UK government cyber security breach report <link> concluded that organisations looked to be taking an “informal approach to incident management, with 80% of the organisations surveyed not having an cyber incident management plan in place and only 39% having identified assigned roles to deal with an incident.

The Canadian based cyber-tech startup chose Cheltenham as its UK base due to the current work and vision of such projects as the Golden Valley Development in order to gain maximum exposure and develop relationships regionally with like minded organisations.

The founding team, including President & Cheltenham based cyber-tech entrepreneur Martyn Gill, said “while large enterprises can take advantage of expensive SOAR tools or established and dedicated Security Operations Centres staffed by dozens of trained specialists operating complex tools, small and mid-size organisations are left out in the cold”.

Martyn went on to say “being able to build a company and product such as ORNA within the Cheltenham cyber-tech ecosystem has been such a positive experience and the support of such organisations as Hub8, CyNam and BetaDen has been so important for me personally.”

We wish ORNA Inc. the best of look as they scale in 2022 with a view to completing Series A in 2023.
