Public access defibrillator to be installed at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium

Cheltenham Town Football Club will be installing lifesaving equipment at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium in the form of a public access defibrillator.

The club are proud to be collaborating with Cheltenham’s not-for-profit community defibrillator campaign Public Hearts to install a life-saving and life-changing defibrillator.

In addition to it being available on match and event days, it will also be available to the public and local community 24/7, 365 days a year.

Public Hearts Defibrillator Campaign Founder, Clare Seed said:

“The club is such an important part of the local and wider community and already does so much impactful work building healthier, stronger and more active communities through the Cheltenham Town Community Trust.

“We are proud to donate a defibrillator and external cabinet to give access to all in the event of a cardiac arrest.”

Public Hearts Defibrillator Campaign is an award winning local not-for-profit community initiative which has facilitated 57 defibrillators in and around Cheltenham in little over two years.

A defibrillator is a vital medical device in the event of a cardiac arrest.

With 30,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests each year, including at least 12 young (that is, aged 35 and under) sudden cardiac deaths every week in the UK, public access defibs are vital.
