Public Hearts Cheltenham Defibrillator Campaign and G4S collaborate to bring more public access defibrillators to the community.
This campaign will be championed by Circle2Success to bring members, charities and communities together.
Public Hearts founder Clare of Tidal Training Direct has agreed a collaboration with Allied Universal company G4S Facilities Management Ltd to place a number of public access defibrillators in the community where they can be of greatest benefit.
How will it work?
Circle2Success members are invited to register an interest should they be in a position to house a public access defibrillator on their building. The cabinet measures circa 46cm square and 16cm deep and requires an electricity supply.
We are compiling a shortlist of locations, each of whom will receive a donated ZOLL fully automatic defibrillator which retails at over £1,500.00.
Each business will need to purchase an external cabinet at £600 to house their free defibrillator and will also be asked to pay it forward for a cabinet to house a defibrillator which we will donate to a charity.
Public Hearts and G4S have agreed a list of charities they are committed to support with a public access defibrillator.
To summarise, that’s £1,200 (and VAT registered businesses can reclaim VAT on the cabinets)
For a defib and cabinet costing circa £2,150.00
All defibrillators will be registered on The Circuit – the national defibrillator network linking UK NHS Ambulance Services to these vital pieces of equipment in the event of a cardiac arrest.
This is the most recent collaboration of Public Hearts Cheltenham Defibrillator Campaign which has to date facilitated over 25 defibrillators to the Cheltenham and surrounding areas.
This new initiative will see up to 10 more defibrillators bringing businesses, charities and communities together and reflects C2S values supporting each other and ‘doing business for good’
