Successful businesses across Gloucestershire are being encouraged to enter the GloucestershireLive Business Awards – and have their achievements recognised.
The annual awards, which are returning for 2022 in partnership with long-standing headline sponsors Randall & Payne, showcase the best and brightest businesses from around the county.
For nearly a quarter of a century the annual awards ceremony has been bringing together senior leaders and decision-makers from across industries including technology, engineering, media, retail and property, to network, build relationships and do business.
The awards are free to enter and there are a range of categories for 2022, including two new ones – the Sustainability Award and the Charity of the Year.
Last year Paul Dixon, of Mill House Care and Dementia Care Home, picked up two awards at the event. He scooped the Best Employee Award, sponsored by Spirax Sarco, and was named Local Business Hero (sponsored by Wembley Partners) for his work in the community.
He said: “I have since gone on to be winner of the first town ambassador award, mainly for the community dementia work, part of my application included that I had won two of your awards, so it definitely helped open doors, to me becoming the first ever town ambassador for Chipping Campden”.
The 2022 GloucestershireLive Business Awards includes:
- a finalists champagne reception with the opportunity to network with other finalists and sponsors;
- a celebrity hosted black-tie ceremony on October 13 at Cheltenham Racecourse, where all the finalists are celebrated on screen, through video, in front of a Gloucestershire business audience;
- all the finalists receive a badge to use on their website, email and social media;
- all the winners receive a badge to use on their website, email and social media;
- winners on GloucestershireLive and BusinessLive , and a feature on Randall & Payne’s website;
- a winners’ dinners, which is a chance to be celebrated and socialise and network with other like-minded businesses.
Tim Watkins, managing partner of Randall & Payne, said: “The exercise of writing the entry is valuable in itself as it highlights what you have achieved as a business, not just externally but internally, as you reflect on your success.
“In addition, being shortlisted can also act as a third party endorsement of your business. There are many positives to this such as; the publicity and increased credibility, networking opportunities, employee motivation through recognition of their hard work, and being an award-nominated company also helps to attract talent.”
The awards’ charity partner for 2022 is the Hollie Gazzard Trust, which was set up following the murder of 20-year-old Hollie Gazzard in 2014 by her ex-partner.
The charity was founded by her parents, Nick and Mandy, along with sister Chloe, and works to reduce domestic violence by delivering programmes on domestic abuse and promoting healthy relationships to schools and colleges.
It runs workshops, including intervention workshops, and events throughout the year. We will be fundraising for the charity on the night of the awards dinner.
