Edward Davies, MD – Viper Innovations

Edward talked about what CSR means for Viper and how is is part of the culture of the business and that it should add value to what they do and helps them support their mission statement…..”to create disruptive solutions that provide value for people”

He explained that they looked at how they can bring to life their commitment and get staff involved. So they have bought 31.49 acres of land in West Somerset. Listen to the recording of the session to find out more about what this land has enabled them to do.

Hannah Walls, Associate Solicitor, Willans

Hannah is the Chair of Willans Green Committee and she explained how the group was working and some of the projects they have been focusing on including ethical investment review; in-house battery and cable recycling and what their wish list for the future was. Hannah made the case for reducing travel and hotel and training room costs by adding e-learning to your suit of training tools. This way you can not only save money on travel and room hire but training could be conducted at more convenient times and potentially you would not have to wait to get people together.

Richard Markey, MD, Fleet Electric

Richard provided a great overview of how to calculate the whole life cost of a vehicle; carbon life cycle assessment with climate positive leasing solutions and Salary Sacrifice schemes. He also provided a case study to illustrate the opportunities one company found and how you can use sustainable vehicle purchasing/leasing as part of your recruitment and retention strategies.
