The Big Conversation Part 2 – Redundancies, Restructure and Reboot Our Expert Panel Provided Advice and Answers To These Big Topics
Topical conversation in the news this week is redundancies, the Twitter cyber- attack, the government financial support available, organisations restructuring and rebooting, getting people back to work safely and getting the economy moving. So, these key topics were at the top of our list when talking to members about Part 2 of The Big Conversation.
At our online event we had another Great Conversation in Support of the Business Community with C2S Official Partners HR Champions on restructure, BPE Solicitors on redundancies, Bamboo Technology Group sharing their experience with new and existing clients as they support the economic needs to restructure and rebook, Crowe providing an financial update on the recent announcements by Rishi Sunak, The Chancellor of the Exchequer and a look into the next budget and members Allfleet Services sharing their restructure story.

With a packed online event with business leaders from all sectors and size of business we listened to the experts, asked questions and had a chance to share, learn and network. The big messages from today were the following:
- Strong leadership that puts people first
- Provides a safe secure environment that will allow your people to flourish
- Upskill and support all your manager with the personal development so they are equipped with the skills to support their team members
- Have a robust people plan and continually review it
- Think about internal and external communications and understand what your people are thinking through survey, catch up meetings, personally write to them (if you are making redundancies the team still working may have guilt issues)
- There are still tough times ahead financially, so plan and be prepared
- Have a realistic risk analysis for your business that will include tough questions like – What will we do if there is another spike/lockdown?
