December was an exciting month for C2S members Angharad and Joe, the founders of Hot Tubs Rock, as the first weekend bought about the launch of their sister company “Living by Velvet Estates” and in true Angharad and Joe style it was an absolute roaring success… The Friday evening entailed a special VIP evening where they invited their chosen suppliers, local business owners and friends to have an exclusive first look at the new showroom over canapes and champagne and they were astounded by the turnout and feedback “I had a preview last night…If you like beautiful quality homeware with plenty of personality go along to this place – the amount of times I said ‘ooo that’s nice’ in an hour made me wonder if I was stuck on repeat!”
They then opened their doors to the public on the 3rd and 4th of December making sure to throw an open event to remember… There were goody bags up for grabs, which not surprisingly were snapped up quickly, they cooked up quality hot dogs on their outdoor kitchen and had mulled wine and mince pies on arrival “The aim of the opening weekend wasn’t to sell, sell, sell, it was purely to spread awareness, to show people that this is what we do, to shout about all the other local independent businesses that we are now working with and to be at the forefront of peoples mind when they do inevitably get asked for recommendations.”- Angharad.
