Healthcare training provider announces ‘Excellence in Care’ series in response to sector demand
Tidal Training, one of the UK’s leading national healthcare training provider, has launched a bespoke schedule of training courses to offer wider access to skills opportunities for healthcare staff, fuelled by rising demand for services.
The Cheltenham-based training specialist, which delivers medical and clinical, bespoke mental health, learning disability, child protection and health and social care training, has developed its Excellence in Care training series created specifically for healthcare professionals to support their learning and professional development, as well as CQC, Ofsted and best practice requirements.
The courses, starting in September 2021, have been designed to support local healthcare businesses and to build confidence in delegates in completing mandatory training and enhancing specific elements of the care certificate. Fundamentally, this will ensure that quality care is delivered to the patient/client groups supported in Gloucestershire.
This comes as Health Education England (HEE) has announced a government-backed review of long-term strategic trends for the health and social care sectors in England, with the aim to “review, renew and update” the existing long-term strategic framework for the health workforce, HEE’s Framework 15, which was published back in 2014.
The Minister of State for Care, Helen Whately, who has commissioned the review, said she “asked Health Education England to work closely with my department, NHS England, Skills for Care and the wider sector to update HEE’s workforce framework, to make sure we have the right staff with the right skills for the future of our health and care services up and down the country.”
Colin Frensham, Director of Tidal Training, who founded the company in 2012, previously worked as a paramedic, serving in Her Majesty’s Forces for 13 years as a combat medical technician in the Royal Army Medical Corps; he has also worked in the offshore industry as a remote site and offshore medic.
