Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Worcestershire County Council have announced that the popular apprenticeship celebration event, the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards are returning in 2022.
Entries to the awards have now opened with apprentices, employers, schools and training providers in Worcestershire being encouraged to submit their entries or nominations via the online nomination process, before the 15 July deadline.
After the virtual success of the awards in 2021, the Worcestershire Apprenticeships team have confirmed that this year’s awards will be returning to the physical awards evening format on 17 November, at the West Midland Safari Park.
Previously the awards have consistently attracted audiences of over 300 people each year with the virtual awards celebration reaching over 600 views across the three-day celebration.
The 2022 Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards will celebrate the most successful apprentices, employers, schools, and training providers across 12 categories over the last year.
The 2022 award categories are:
Apprentice Awards
- Intermediate Level Apprentice of the Year
- Advanced Level Apprentice of the Year
- Higher Level Apprentice of the Year
- Degree Level Apprentice of the Year
Employer Awards
- Small Apprenticeship Employer of the Year (< 50 employees)
- Medium Apprenticeship Employer of the Year (50 – 249 employees)
- Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year (> 250 employees)
Support Awards
- School of the Year
- Training Provider of the Year
- Apprentice Champion of the Year
The popular celebration event will culminate in the two illustrious overall awards of ‘Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year’, and ‘Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year’.

Delivering the awards virtually was a huge achievement and allowed us to continue celebrating apprenticeships, even with the risk of COVID-19.
“I strongly encourage any organisations who employ and support apprentices to enter the awards as it is a great way to recognise the hard work that you do to support the local economy and build your future workforce.”

Apprenticeships are a recognised route to help both people and organisations and all the hard work involved should be celebrated.”
